The Alchemist

Take three confidence tricksters, stir them up and add a greedy clerk, a tobacconist, an avaricious Knight and a Cynic.  Simmer for an hour.  Blend in two religious bigots, thicken with an angry adolescent, season with a pinch of lust, brush lightly with the law and garnish with savoury neighbours.  Serve with relish for the enjoyment of a mature palate.
