Into The Woods
Music & Lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, Book by James Lapine
Once upon a time, in a far off kingdom lived a young maiden, a sad young lad and a childless baker with his wife.... Into the Woods is a lively look at fairy stories, not in the way Walt Disney presented them, but more along their original lines. The brothers Grimm gave us stories that frightened as well as enchanted. It is, however, for adults as much if not more than for children. The music and words of Sondheim and Lapine are both charming and clever and the characters are at times a little more like real life than you may remember!
