Wild, Wild Women
A Musical Play based on Lysistrata by Aristophanes. Book & Lyrics by Michael Richmond, Music by Nola York
In the beginning was the word and the word was, in this instance, Greek. Lysistrata. A tale of the action taken by a group of women to prevent a war. The tale was updated to the Wild, Wild West for the Orange Tree, Richmond, where it attracted rave reviews and was subsequently transferred to the Theatre Royal Windsor as Wild, Wild Women. A cut version was performed in London.
Now, for the first time since the play's opening, TTC brings you the soon-to-be published original book with a score which has been revised and expanded by the composer. So imagine, if you will, a group of respectable married ladies who decide that the only way out of their difficulties is to be come rather more respectable than they had been.
