My Mother Said I Never Should

Doris, Margaret, Jackie and Rosie are four ordinary women, each representing a different generation of the one family.  They are all fairly typical of their respective times, each follows the 'traditional' female domestic rituals, revealing most poignantly the pain and humour that is found in many family circles, particularly within the mother and daughter relationship.
