Theatres Trust Reopening Fund helps Hampton Hill Theatre on the road to recovery
Theatres Trust, the national advisory body for theatres in the UK, and also a registered charity, has awarded Hampton Hill Theatre a grant of £5,000 to help with its reopening. Our theatre was one of 20 theatres to receive this opening tranche of support from the Trust’s Theatre Reopening Fund.
Non-Exec Director of TTC, Steve Wayman, who is leading the board’s efforts on fundraising says, “The grant will make a significant contribution to improving our ventilation system in the main auditorium, which is of course an essential component for a safe and healthy environment when we reopen.”
The grant scheme was established earlier this year in response to the Covid-19 pandemic to support theatres with the additional costs associated with reopening after a prolonged period of closure, and to meet current Covid-safe requirements.
